EPC/EPC-M
Design, Procurement and Installation
Design, procurement and installation of HRS and hydrogen storage
Customer: Open Grid Europe, Germany’s largest gas transmission company
Location: Krummhörn, Germany
Project scope: to develop a hydrogen refuelling station (HRS)
LIFTE H2 Role: LIFTE H2 is the EPC provider for an HRS and hydrogen storage facility, which requires the integration into a system with an existing electrolyser, pipe racks and fuel cell.
Due to the unique customer demand and requirements, an off-the-shelf solution was not suitable; therefore, the HRS and hydrogen storage is a bespoke design provided by LIFTE H2.
Project Status: Commissioned in March 2025
Design, Construction and Maintenance
Design, Construction and Maintenance of an Hydrogen Refuelling Station in two phases
Customer: Beteiligungsgesellschaft Kreis Düren
Location: Düren, Germany
Project scope: to develop a hydrogen refuelling station for the region's fuel cell bus fleet.
LIFTE H2 Role: LIFTE H2, in partnership with Resato Hydrogen, is the EPC provider for the hydrogen refuelling station, which will initially provide >500 kg/day and then scale up to >1.000 kg/day.
As the EPC and project coordinator, LIFTE H2 delivers the technical design and works with multiple stakeholders, including the customer’s contractors for permitting activities, the local regulatory authority, and 3rd party contractors who deliver elements of the projects on our behalf
Project status: Commissioning Phase 1: Q4 2026, Phase 2: Q3 2027
Technical Concept for 100 MW Electrolyser
Technical Concept for 100 MW Electrolyser
Customer: Lorica Energiesysteme GmbH & Co KG
Project scope: Lorica 100 MW green hydrogen facility
LIFTE H2 Role: LIFTE H2 was commissioned to develop the first technical concept for a 100MW Green Hydrogen Production Facility. Our hydrogen specialists are developing the first technical concept for early-stage permitting, partnership and funding discussions, which includes equipment sizing, technology assessment, layout production, Process Flow Diagrams, emergency storage, and grid connection requirements.
The 100 MW hydrogen electrolysis project will be provided with green electricity via PPA. It will not connect to the Hydrogen Backbone or other pipelines, but will be liquified and transport the hydrogen to customers via rail.
Project Status: In Progress
